Sharjah 24: The Cultural and Community Committee of Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club held its regular meeting, on Friday, at the club’s headquarters, where the executive plan and cultural and community activities that were implemented during the month of October were discussed.
The activities planned for November were also reviewed, as part of the club’s efforts to enhance its role in the community. The meeting discussed the monthly plan and the outcomes of the brainstorming session, in addition to approving the committee’s annual performance indicators.
The focus was on developing a plan for programmes and events for the next stage, with the aim of activating the cultural and societal role of the club towards society and its individuals, which contributes to creating a quality of community sports life.
This comes as cultural activities are an essential part of the sports experience, as they contribute to developing the players’ personalities and enhancing the spirit of cooperation and positive competition among them. In addition, these activities build a strong collective identity for the team, which enhances the spirit of belonging and increases the interaction of fans with the teams.
The meeting touched on the importance of focusing on cultural activities that contribute to promoting human values such as tolerance, respect, and teamwork, which is in line with the vision of Dibba Al Hisn Club and Sharjah Sports Council in promoting sports culture as part of community development.
The cultural activities organised by the club aim to expand the circle of communication with the community, and strengthen relations between different age groups. It also aims to motivate youth and children to participate in sports and cultural activities, which contributes to building a healthy and educated society.
In order to achieve these goals, Ahmed Abdullah Al Naqbi, Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Strategic Planning and Institutional Excellence Committee, stressed the importance of the Board of Directors’ interest in the cultural aspect and the need to enhance community communication. The meeting began with the points listed on the committee’s agenda, reflecting the commitment to developing activities and providing the best cultural and community services.
He pointed out that at the end of the meeting, the importance of cooperation between the committee members to achieve the desired goals, as well as the importance of continuing cultural and sports activities to promote positive values in society. The importance of continuing to develop cultural and sports programmes that enhance the quality of life of individuals and contribute to achieving the vision of the club and the Sharjah Sports Council was also pointed out.
