Sharjah24: The UAE Judo Federation announced the participation of 455 athletes in upcoming tournaments to be held at the Khorfakkan Youth Center over the next two days, Saturday and Sunday.
The competitions are set to commence tomorrow with the Federation Cup for U-11 players (born 2012-2013), showcasing 150 participants. The upcoming "Everyone's a Winner" festival, designed for young athletes born between 2014 and 2016, will feature participation from 160 competitors, both male and female. On Sunday, the Federation Cup for U-13 boys, born in 2010-2011, will showcase 145 participants.
The technical committee, headed by Mohamed Jassim, Assistant Secretary-General, and Shaaban El-Sayed, Technical Director of the Federation, supervised the registration and weigh-in process, with support from the Eastern Region Board members.
The clubs taking part in the event are Fujairah Martial Arts Club, Kalba, Khorfakkan, Sharjah Self-defence Sports Club, Sharjah Sports Club, Al Nasr Club, Noguer Academy, Materna Academy, and Olympics Academy. The technical staff of the national teams will keep a vigilant eye on the events to identify exceptional athletes for upcoming training camps.
