Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA) is preparing to participate in MIPCOM 2024, the world's largest event for professionals in television and entertainment, which will be held in Cannes, France, from October 21 to 24.
On this occasion, His Excellency Salem Ali Al Ghaithi, Director of SBA, confirmed that the authority is participating for the third consecutive year with a special pavilion showcasing its latest programmes, products from its television and radio channels, and its digital platform "Maraya." All of these programmes represent the cultural identity of the United Arab Emirates, with a focus on delivering world-class productions that have won prestigious awards in the audiovisual field.

Ghaithi added, "Our participation will be a unique opportunity to connect with key players in the media industry and to build new partnerships aimed at enhancing the programming networks of our channels with meaningful content that aligns with the authority's vision of providing media that elevates public taste and meets the aspirations of its wide audience."

For his part, Mohammed Ahmed Youssef, Director of Marketing and Government Communication at SBA, emphasised that the authority's pavilion will serve as a hub for media industry professionals, showcasing its latest television and radio projects while providing promising opportunities for collaboration with international partners. He noted that the modern design of the pavilion reflects the authority's vision for sustainability and advanced technology, allowing visitors to experience an interactive showcase of our most significant achievements and our successful media journey.

MIPCOM, which will launch its 40th edition next Monday, is expected to bring together more than 11,000 delegates from over 100 countries, including 3,500 buyers and 350 pavilions from global production and distribution companies. Major global and regional broadcasters anticipate the event annually to finalize deals that will enhance their future projects.
