Sharjah24 - WAM: The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) is displaying a line-up of innovative technologies and high-tech initiatives at GITEX GLOBAL 2024.
Fahad Al Hammadi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Support Services Sector at MoEI, explained that the Ministry's displays reflect its progress in digital transformation and commitment to leveraging advanced technologies to improve its services and offerings.

Al Hammadi said, "The Ministry has a diverse range of digital platforms and innovative services on display. These include the Metaverse platform that has two tracks: one for employees, enabling them to host meetings and events virtually, and the other for customers, enabling them to access the Ministry's services using the UAE Pass.

Moreover, we are showcasing the Digital Twin Platform, which creates an accurate digital model of assets, operational facilities, and service facilities in a way that allows the transfer of live data and information to simulate behaviour and monitor operations. This contributes to a deeper understanding, improving performance and management, increasing efficiency, identifying potential malfunctions, and predicting risks."

He added, "We are also showcasing the Open Data Portal that provides over 200 sets of open data divided on 10 key sectors within the energy and infrastructure fields. The portal aims to enhance transparency, drive innovation, and enable government and private entities to access reliable, accurate data to make informed decisions."

Al Hammadi stated that the Data Bridge is also on display. It facilitates the customer's journey, reduces the number of documents required for the transaction, and cuts down the time needed to deliver the service.

It aims to increase the number of government entities that exchange digital documents with MoEI to 50, achieve 100% digital connection with these entities, raise customers' happiness for providing data once to 90% by the end of 2025, and reduce the number of documents by half by the end of next year.

The Assistant Undersecretary for the Support Services Sector noted that MoEI's stand is showcasing the Manzili bundle of housing services that cater to the beneficiaries of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme.

This bundle offers 18 housing services to citizens through collaboration with 24 federal and local government entities, simplifying the customer journey and the required documents by reducing the involved entities from 11 to one and the documents from 10 to 2. The procedures are reduced from 14 to three steps, and the service fields from 32 to five.
