Sharjah24: Her Excellency Wahida Abdulaziz, Chairperson of Arthritis Patients Society, has announced the launch of an awareness campaign program in conjunction with World Arthritis Day. Awareness events and sports activities are set to take place across multiple locations in Sharjah during October and November 2024 as part of the upcoming campaign.
At a press conference on Thursday evening, Her Excellency Wahida Abdulaziz, Chairperson of Arthritis Patients Society, , one of the Health Education Department Associations of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, unveiled details about the forthcoming campaign and its related events. In conjunction with World Arthritis Day, a series of activities will take place aimed at raising awareness about arthritis and encouraging healthy practices within the community.
Her Excellency highlighted in a statement to “Sharjah24” that the campaign comes in accordance with the directives and vision set forth by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the wife of the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs. The goal is to launch innovative programs designed to enhance public understanding of rheumatic diseases and their prevention strategies..
She underscored the significant announcements made during the press conference, which included the upcoming second Rheumatologists' Forum and the Scientific Week, both scheduled to coincide with World Arthritis Day. The announcement of the third edition of the Schools Friendly to Arthritis Patients Award coincided with the launch of sports campaigns and the annual marathon, which aim to motivate the community to remain active and embrace healthier lifestyles.
