Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Head of the Ruler’s Office, honoured Dibba Al-Hisn Municipality, with the recognition received by Ms. Maryam Rashidouh, Director of Customer and Employee Happiness Department at the Municipality. The ceremony took place during the 13th Elderly Services Forum, held under the theme "Artificial Intelligence in Their Service", organised by the Social Services Department in collaboration with the World Health Organisation at the Jawaher Convention Centre.
This recognition comes after the municipality successfully met and implemented all requirements and conditions for elderly-friendly institutions, positioning the Dibba Al-Hisn Municipality as one of the entities that have activated efforts to earn this prestigious title.
His Excellency Taleb Abdullah Al-Yahyai, Director of Dibba Al-Hisn Municipality, stated: “The municipality has worked diligently to provide an ideal environment for the elderly, driven by its belief in the importance of caring for the elderly, in line with the vision and guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The municipality adopts various programmes and services that assist the elderly and ease their daily lives, helping to integrate them into society, thus ensuring sustainable leadership in different areas of life."
Al-Yahyai expressed the municipality’s pride in receiving this title, which adds to the overall efforts of the emirate to follow the wise leadership’s directives aimed at serving the people of Dibba Al-Hisn and addressing the needs of all its residents, particularly the elderly. He noted that the municipality is committed to providing full care and support to this group, whether through home care services or by simplifying procedures and offering priority in various services.
Al-Yahyai further affirmed that the municipality continues to develop its services and innovate new solutions to ensure that Dibba Al-Hisn is an ideal place for the elderly, guaranteeing them a dignified and sustainable life. He added that the municipality takes pride in supporting all efforts and directives in the Emirate of Sharjah to implement the standards required for elderly-friendly institutions, adopting global practices for elderly care and applying them in Sharjah.
