Khorfakkan Parents Council honours more than 50 teachers

Sharjah 24: Sami Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Khorfakkan Parents Council, revealed that more than 50 male and female teachers specialising in special education were honoured for their significant role in supporting and caring for detainee students, coinciding with Teachers’ Day.
He stressed that the celebration of Teachers’ Day comes in appreciation and honuor of the sacrifices of teachers and their effective role in the renaissance and development process witnessed by the country.

He said in statements to “Sharjah 24” that the council affiliated with the Districts Affairs Department organised a special celebration, on Monday, for this occasion, through which it aimed to review the role of the teacher in building generations and to enhance the culture of appreciating the teachers for their great contributions.

He explained that the celebration, which was organised at the Culture Centre in Khorfakkan, included honouring a number of special education teachers, highlighting their significant role in containing and educating male and female students with disabilities.

The celebration was attended by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al Murr Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Khorfakkan Municipal Council, Dr. Abdullah Al Kabouri, Director of the Districts Affairs Department, a number of directors and representatives of government departments and institutions, school principals, and parents of male and female students.
