Sharjah24: Al Dhaid Sports Club organised a special sports event in celebration of Teacher's Day, inviting educators from schools across the Central Region to participate in various athletic activities at the club's sports hall. The friendly competition featured football, volleyball, and table tennis matches, fostering a lively and engaging atmosphere.
The event began with the presence of Salem Mohammed bin Huwaiden, Chairman of Al Dhaid Sports Club, along with board members Saif bin Dallon and Malik Al Ketbi, as well as the club’s administrative manager, Maheer Al Khayyal Al Tneiji. A large number of teachers participated, adding enthusiasm and positive energy to the occasion. The competitions spanned different sports, with teachers displaying exceptional sportsmanship. In the volleyball tournament, Al Dhaid Private School secured first place, followed by Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services in second, and Washah School in third.
In table tennis, Al Dhaid Private School came out on top, with Al Thamid School in second place, and Washah School in third. Meanwhile, in football, Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services claimed the first spot, while Al Dhaid Private School took second place, and Al Thamid School finished in third.
At the end of the event, Salem Mohammed bin Huwaiden, along with other club officials, awarded the winning schools. He expressed his delight with the occasion, praising the vital role teachers play in nurturing future generations and supporting students’ success.
Bin Huwaiden further acknowledged the importance of sports in strengthening the ties between the educational community and promoting collaboration among schools. He highlighted the significance of this event, noting that Al Dhaid Sports Club aimed to set a positive example by merging education with sport, especially in recognition of teachers' contributions. He also stressed the value of teamwork and collective effort in such activities.
He extended his gratitude to the participating schools for their excellent performance and competitive spirit, expressing his hope for the continuation of such events that promote sportsmanship and reinforce the importance of education.
