Sharjah 24: Aisha Obaid Ghabash, Director of Events and Activities at the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), announced the launch of the "Coffee as a Human Heritage" event as part of the World Cultural Heritage Weeks programme in Sharjah, coinciding with International Coffee Day.
In a statement to Sharjah 24, Ghabash highlighted the significance of celebrating coffee's cultural importance, bringing together participants from Gulf Cooperation Council countries, the Arab community, and even Italy. The event features demonstrations on coffee preparation, hospitality, and serving etiquette, alongside an intellectual programme with several speakers discussing heritage and the cultural aspects of coffee.
Ghabash also mentioned that tomorrow's activities will include a poetry session featuring various poets celebrating coffee, as well as workshops for school students aimed at engaging them in the event's themes.
