In a statement to Sharjah 24, festival coordinator Alia Al Zaabi noted that the forum is an integral part of the festival's cultural programme, focussing on significant advancements in different facets of theatre work. She emphasised the involvement of an esteemed assembly of artists, directors, and critics from throughout the Arab world.
The 10th edition of the forum highlighted four working papers by researchers from Morocco and Algeria, concentrating on theatre direction with an emphasis on women's roles, theatrical costume design, and physical expression.
Al Zaabi emphasized that the forum serves as a unique Arab platform, showcasing and highlighting the latest theatre research from graduate students across the Arab world. The forum provides participants with the opportunity to present their work, engage in idea exchange with the audience, and gain valuable insights.
