Sharjah 24: Rashid Jumaa Al Ali, Events and Activities Coordinator at the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), announced the launch of the third edition of the summer camp held under the theme “Sharjah Summer Retreat”, which features a variety of heritage-themed activities for children. The camp aims to familiarise youngsters with the traditions and way of life of their ancestors and will run for two weeks.

Strong Turnout from Young Participants

Al Ali reported that the third edition of the summer camp has witnessed strong participation from children aged between 6 and 12 years, who have flocked to take part in the activities scheduled over the fortnight.

Celebrating Summer in the Traditional Way

Speaking to “Sharjah 24”, Al Ali explained that this year’s camp focuses on the place where people used to spend the summer months in the past.

The camp features a wide range of events, interactive workshops, and cultural excursions, including the play "Towards Fifty", educational sessions about the desert environment, and a puppet theatre.
