Sharjah24: Fatima Al-Zarouni, General Exhibition Coordinator for the Sharjah International Calligraphy Forum, announced that the 11th edition of the forum will feature 261 international artists showcasing 611 artworks at various locations throughout Sharjah. Additionally, there will be 94 events, including exhibitions, workshops, and seminars.
Al Zarouni stated that the participating works range from calligraphic and sculptural pieces to classical lettering and photography. She noted that the forum's general program includes a diverse array of activities and workshops across multiple venues in Sharjah, all under the theme "Taqreem."
In her statements to "Sharjah 24," Al Zarouni mentioned that event locations include the Calligraphy Square in the heart of Sharjah, the Sharjah Art Museum, the House of Wisdom, University of Sharjah, and Al Qasimia University, affirming that the events will feature over 30 exhibitions from 261 artists representing numerous Arab countries such as the UAE, Oman, Morocco, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait, Sudan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria, as well as artists from Italy, Colombia, Turkey, Argentina, Pakistan, Spain, and Iran. Notably, countries like Mexico, Indonesia, and Singapore will be participating for the first time.
