SSDSC tops Khaled bin Mohamed Jiu-Jitsu Championship 3rd round

Sharjah 24: The third round of the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship concluded on Sunday at Al Bayt Mitwahid Hall in Sharjah, dedicated to the under-16 and under-18 categories.
Strong performances and high discipline marked the final day's competitions, with players impressing on the mats, supported by the federation and enthusiastic fans. Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club (SDSC) secured the top spot, with M.O.D. Academy finishing second and Al Ain Club taking third place.

The final day was attended by prominent figures, including Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council; Youssef Abdullah Al Batran, Board Member of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation; Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club; Saeed Ali Al Ajeel, Vice President of the Emirates Sports for All Federation; Fahad Ali Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation; Asma Suleiman Al-Azri, Executive Director of the Family Affairs Sector at the Family Care Authority in Abu Dhabi; and Mohammed Hussein Al Marzouqi, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation.

Issa Hilal Al-Hazami expressed his pride in hosting the championship in Sharjah, noting the positive turnout and the growing popularity of the sport, highlighting the significant role families play in supporting the players' success.

Mohammed Hussein Al Marzouqi praised the success of the third round, noting the wide participation of clubs and academies across the UAE as a testament to the federation's efforts in promoting the sport with the continued backing of the nation's leadership. He also emphasised the championship's pivotal role in empowering youth and developing their talents, particularly in the junior and youth categories, which represent the future of the sport.
