Sharjah24: Mohammed Sultan Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mleiha Sports Club, praised the club's swimming team for winning 92 medals at the 2026 UAE Open Swimming Cup, held at the Hamdan Sports Complex on 27 and 28 June.

Mleiha swimmers claimed 36 gold, 35 silver and 21 bronze medals, highlighting the team's continued technical development and the club's successful efforts in training and preparing athletes across different age groups.

Al Ketbi said the achievement reflects the Board's continued support for individual sports, the professional work of the technical and administrative staff, and the dedication of the swimmers to delivering outstanding performances in major competitions.

He described the haul of 92 medals in a highly competitive national championship as a significant milestone that demonstrates the club's success in developing sporting talent. He added that Mleiha Sports Club will continue investing in its swimming programme as part of its vision to nurture a new generation of athletes capable of competing at the highest levels and bringing further success to the club.

Al Ketbi concluded by thanking the coaching and administrative teams, as well as parents, for their continued support and cooperation, wishing the team continued success in future competitions.
