Sharjah24: The Board of Directors of Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled in Sharjah held its first meeting following the administrative decision by Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, to form the new board, chaired by Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa.
During the meeting, administrative portfolios were distributed among the board members: Dr. Khalid Omar Mohammed Al Midfa as Chairman, Kaltham Obaid Al Matrooshi as Vice Chairman, Abdullah Khalifa Al Suwaidi as Financial Director, and Engineer Youssef Mohammed Al Dobi as Chairman of the Strategic Planning and Institutional Excellence Committee. Also appointed were Noura Jassim Al Midfa as Chair of the Support Services Committee, Fahd Abdullah Haikal as Chair of the Government Communication Committee, Abdul Ghafoor Ali Al Raisi as Chair of the Community Culture Committee, Mohammed Abdullah Al Qaid as Chair of the Technical Affairs and Talent Care Committee, and Maryam Ali Al Shahi as Chair of the Social Committee.
Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa and the board members expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the immense trust placed in them by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in forming the new board. They also extended their thanks to Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, for their unwavering support and patronage of sports and athletes.
Al Midfa also thanked the Sharjah Sports Council, led by Issa Hilal Al Hazami, for its continued support of Al Thiqah Club, which greatly motivates the team to exert more effort for the emirate and elevates the club's aspirations, driving everyone to be determined to advance the club’s standing and achieve outstanding results in various competitions.
During the meeting, the council acknowledged the significant achievements of the previous board, chaired by Dr. Tareq Sultan bin Khadem, emphasizing that the current board will continue the legacy of success to proudly raise the flag of the nation in various international arenas.
The council also reviewed strategic programs and plans to address upcoming challenges, discussing administrative and technical approaches to manage these effectively.
