Sharjah 24: Air Arabia has launched a new direct service connecting Sharjah International Airport with Rome Fiumicino Airport, with flights operating five times a week. The route marks the airline’s second destination in Italy after Milan and strengthens its growing presence across Europe.

Focus on medium-haul expansion

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, said the new service reflects the airline’s focus on medium-haul destinations, covering routes of up to seven hours’ flight time. He added that the strategy supports the expansion of the airline’s network across Europe and the Far East while maintaining efficient and reliable operations.

New aircraft to support future growth

Al Ali noted that Air Arabia is preparing to receive new aircraft in the coming months, which will contribute to the continued expansion of its operations from Sharjah International Airport. He highlighted the airline’s close cooperation with the Sharjah Airport Authority in supporting this growth and expressed his appreciation for the confidence placed in Air Arabia’s long-term plans.
