Nada Shahil, Director of the Internal Audit Office at SFD stated that the initiative to spread the culture of internal auditing began in 2023, and the department is continuing the initiative for the second year in a row. It started with the Sharjah Asset Management and today the department is launching the initiative with the Prevention and Safety Authority, and the department is looking forward to this initiative to work fruitfully with all government agencies.
Speaking exclusively to Sharjah 24, Nada Shahil that the goal of the initiative is to raise awareness of the importance of internal auditing and risk management, due to its major role and significant impact in improving work efficiency and reducing risks, and ensuring compliance with all global practices and standards, in order to enhance the department’s strategic partnerships, and to highlight the role of the department in this field.
