“Shams Talks” hosts Mohamed Al Awadi

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Media City "Shams", through the interactive podcast "“Shams Talks”, meets with officials, experts and prominent figures, with the aim of enhancing communication in the media field.
The podcast sheds light on the most prominent media and economic challenges, based on its pioneering role in enhancing the media sector in various fields and introducing the achievements of the Emirate of Sharjah in different sectors.

"Hadith Shams" hosted His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The interview addressed several economic and investment topics including the role of the private sector; the components of the attractive investment environment, and the role of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry in promoting and highlighting investment opportunities and advantages as a leading destination for investment and business in the region and the world; introducing the most important services and facilities it provides to companies and businessmen in various strategic sectors; and ways to enhance cooperation between the government and private sectors, and support small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship in the Emirate of Sharjah.

His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, stressed during the interview the Chamber’s keenness to participate in and support all conferences, events and fora held in the Emirate of Sharjah, as well as its keenness to keep pace with all developments in all fields and sectors, whether economic, commercial, investment or media. He stressed the Chamber’s keenness to enhance and continue sustainable development, explaining that the Chamber, through the Social Responsibility Fund and through affiliated members represented in the private sector, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has become the exclusive sponsor of the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services and Sharjah Charity International during the holy month of Ramadan. Al Awadi added that the Chamber is a strategic partner with the University of Sharjah and the American University of Sharjah.

 His Excellency added that the Emirate of Sharjah has a very attractive environment for investments and large companies, and the numbers confirm this as the emirate has 22 industrial zones, and more than 70 thousand licenses and economic commercial, industrial and professional activities, and there are more than 3 thousand factories and industrial bases in Sharjah, which constitute more than 30% of the UAE. He continued that Sharjah has an advanced infrastructure, roads and ports thanks to the support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.  The Chamber certifies more than a thousand export certificates of origin daily, meaning a thousand certificates issued to different countries through the ports of Sharjah and the UAE, in addition to the Expo Centre Sharjah that hosts more than 60 events and exhibitions. Al Awadi noted that Sharjah has Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre and Sharjah Exports Development Centre, and the chambre participates in more than 20 local and international exhibitions. 

His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi explained that the UAE has enacted laws to support small and medium enterprises and support entrepreneurship. In the Emirate of Sharjah. He stressed that the Chamber is keen to adopt, embrace and support entrepreneurs, and provide them with training in cooperation with a number of international bodies. 

His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi expressed his happiness and thanks to Sharjah Media City "Shams" and the podcast "Shams Talks", which provided an opportunity to introduce the achievements of the Emirate of Sharjah and Sharjah government departments.
