Sharjah 24: Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) continues to provide its intensive training programme directed at the social specialists of Sharjah Districts Affairs Department (SDAD), within the framework of enhancing joint cooperation and exchange of experiences between government institutions.
The programme aims to develop the professional skills of social specialists affiliated with SDAD, and provide them with the latest methods and theories related to analysing social cases and providing community services at the highest levels of quality.

The training programme, which lasts for several weeks, includes two main aspects: theoretical training and field application.
In the theoretical aspect, participants are able to study requests and analyse social cases scientifically and accurately, with a focus on the skill of how to collect the necessary data and analyse them in ways that ensure the effective diagnosis of problems. They are also trained on how to develop appropriate plans for each case, and ensure that data related to social cases is updated continuously to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.

The field aspect of the programme includes field visits to the homes of families benefiting from the services, with the aim of directly and comprehensively assessing the social situation. During these visits, the method of planning visits in advance and coordinating with families is enhanced, in addition to applying information monitoring techniques and documenting observations accurately and effectively.

Alia Al Zaabi, Director of the Assistance Department at SSSD, pointed out the importance of the training programme; as it comes as part of the department's strategy to enhance job competencies and develop the professional skills of social specialists affiliated with suburban affairs, as the programme is offered at the level of the emirate's cities in Al Hamriyah, Al Dhaid, Mleiha, Kalba, Khorfakkan, Al Bataeh, Dibba Al Hisn, and Al Mudam.

Al Zaabi pointed out that these field trainings come to enhance capabilities in providing effective solutions to the problems facing families, and to ensure the provision of services that enhance their social well-being. Through these efforts, the department also seeks to raise the level of services provided to the community and achieve integration between the relevant government agencies, adding that integration with SDAD will enhance the role of social specialists in providing sustainable community services, as well as enhancing social welfare and a decent life for every member of society, stressing that SSSD is committed to developing employees to meet the growing needs of society, and ensuring the provision of services that keep pace with the aspirations of community members and contribute to enhancing their social stability. The training programme is part of the ongoing SSSD efforts to promote a culture of continuous learning, and raise the level of professional competence of workers in the social sector, ensuring the provision of services that are in line with the highest international standards, and contribute to achieving Sharjah's vision of providing a supportive and sustainable social environment.
