Sharjah 24: Al Dhaid Club player Ibrahim Khalil Ibrahim scored 627.4, the best Emirati number, and was able to win gold in the men’s 10m air rifle competition at the open championship for shooting in Bangkok.
Al Dhaid Sports Club was keen to celebrate, on Tuesday, the shooting team after the impressive results achieved by the shooting champions in the 3rd Thailand Open Shooting Championship 2024 (pistol and rifle), held in Thailand, where they excelled and won the first places.
Players were received, at Sharjah Airport, by the club’s management; Khalifa Mubarak Dalmouk Al Ketbi, member of the board of directors and head of the cultural committee at Al Dhaid Club; and Muhair Obaid Al Khayal Al Tunaiji, administrative director of Al Dhaid Club.
It is noteworthy that players of Al Dhaid Club participated in the open championship during their presence in the training camp in Thailand, which was sponsored by Sharjah Sports Council (SSC).
Salem Mohammed Al Yamahi also won the silver medal in the junior category, and the player Sultan Saleh Mohammed won the bronze medal, accompanied by Ali bin Nouma Al Ketbi, head of the mission, and Captain Muammar Imad Al Alaf, coach of the shooting team at Al Dhaid Club.
His Excellency Salem Mohammed bin Howaiden, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Club, expressed his pride in the distinguished results achieved by the team, extending his thanks to SSC for its continuous support and care for the talented players, noting that this achievement represents pride for the UAE and reflects the dedication and great efforts made by the shooters.
