Sharjah24: Marking World Teachers’ Day and as part of its community initiatives, Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club organised a visit to Dr Rashid bin Ahmed Al Mazrouei, one of the Central Region’s prominent educational leaders.

The visit was conducted by Khalifa Mubarak Dalmook Al Ketbi, a member of the club’s board and chairman of its Cultural and Community Development Committee, and Muhair Obaid Al Khayal Al Tenaiji, executive director of Al Dhaid Club.

Dr Al Mazrouei headed the Central Region Educational Office from 1981 to 1986. He subsequently served as director of the Information and Research Department at the Ministry of Education, before becoming director of the ministry’s Private Education Department.

During the visit, the participants reviewed Dr Al Mazrouei’s career and the progress and development witnessed by education in the UAE and the Central Region. They also highlighted the role teachers have played in educating generations and instilling values and knowledge.

Salem Mohammed bin Huwaiden, chairman of Al Dhaid Club’s board of directors, said the visit reflected the club’s commitment to honouring pioneers in education and recognising their efforts and contributions to building generations.

He added that their experiences form an important part of the region’s educational and community heritage.

Dr Al Mazrouei expressed his appreciation for the visit, noting that such an initiative was typical of Al Dhaid Club, which places strong emphasis on maintaining close ties with the community.
