SCI supports 28,000 orphans in H1 of 2024

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Charity International (SCI) announced that in the first half of 2024, it sponsored 28,071 orphans and incurred expenses of 56.4 million dirhams across over 21 countries, according to its recent report.
Mohammed Rashid bin Bayat, Vice Chairman of the SCI Board, outlined that the sponsorship project covers five categories. These include 27,680 orphans, 254 needy families, 80 imams and teachers sponsored to work in schools established by the Charity in remote areas, 15 mosque imams supported by the Charity, 15 students, and 42 individuals with disabilities.

Bin Bayat noted that the sponsorship project follows a detailed mechanism designed to offer comprehensive care to those supported. It encompasses a range of services to meet the orphans' needs, including health and education programmes, as well as cultural, religious, and recreational activities.
