Sharjah 24: The Senior Citizens Services Centre, part of the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD), recently held a workshop for Al Asala Club members to teach basic internet usage. This initiative aims to empower seniors with essential digital skills, improving their interaction with technology and enhancing their daily lives.
The workshop provided practical guidance on browsing the internet, using essential applications, and navigating social media.
Kholoud Abdullah Al Ali, Director of the centre, highlighted the interactive nature of the session, which focused on building confidence in digital navigation and online security.
She added that the centre plans to continue offering educational programmes to support senior citizens in adapting to the digital world and ensuring their online safety.
