Sharjah 24 – Reuters: Oscar Piastri won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, propelling McLaren to the top of the constructors' standings. The race ended under a virtual safety car after a late collision between Ferrari's Carlos Sainz and Red Bull's Sergio Perez.
Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, who led early but was overtaken by Piastri on lap 20, finished second. Mercedes' George Russell took third following the crash. Red Bull's Max Verstappen finished fifth, with McLaren's Lando Norris, who started 15th, ending up fourth and securing the fastest lap bonus.

Piastri described the race as "the most stressful afternoon" of his life, marking his second career win. Verstappen's championship lead over Norris decreased from 62 to 59 points.

Fernando Alonso placed sixth for Aston Martin, while Williams' Alex Albon and rookie Franco Colapinto finished seventh and eighth, respectively. Lewis Hamilton took ninth after starting from the pit lane, and Oliver Bearman earned the final point for Haas.

Sainz and Perez collided while battling for third place, leading to both cars crashing into the wall.
