Sharjah24: As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen government communication, the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA) has planned extensive coverage for the 13th edition of the International Government Communication Forum. The forum, organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), will take place on September 4th and 5th at Expo Centre Sharjah, under the theme "Resilient Governments... Innovative Communication."
On this occasion, His Excellency Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, highlighted that the forum has become a valuable resource for decision-makers, researchers, and businesses in both the public and private sectors. Therefore, the Authority is committed to providing comprehensive, objective, and inspiring media coverage that reflects the forum's significance and stature.

Khalaf further explained that dedicated teams of reporters, editors, and photographers have been assembled to work around the clock, ensuring live and continuous coverage of all events. He emphasised that the Authority's role extends beyond just media coverage; they will also actively participate by hosting training workshops led by their team members, aligning with their mission to promote communication and train specialists in this field. The Authority is determined to continue supporting this important international forum and help disseminate its messages and objectives to a wider audience.

In line with its media strategy to cover every detail of this major international event, Sharjah TV’s special coverage begins with a prelude episode of the programme "Amasey," which will focus on the main themes of the 13th edition of the forum, featuring insights from experts and organisers. On the first day, there will be a live broadcast of the opening ceremony, along with a morning live studio session that will provide ongoing coverage and analysis of the workshops.

Coverage will continue with live broadcasts of the main sessions over the two days of the forum. There will also be coverage of the workshops, which will be integrated into various programmes, and several distinguished experts and participants will be invited as guests on the programme "Guest of Sharjah."

The News Centre will provide coverage of the forum through "Akhbar Al Dar" news bulletins, which will include special reports and interviews with guests and experts. A fully equipped television studio has been set up by the Authority at the Expo Centre, the event's location, featuring state-of-the-art technology to ensure comprehensive and professional coverage of all forum activities.

Meanwhile, Al Sharqiya Channel from Kalba has announced its participation in covering the forum's activities, offering a live morning broadcast as part of the "Sabah Al Sharqiya" programme throughout the forum days. The channel will also feature a video report on the key activities and workshops through its programme "Evening Talk."

As part of its special coverage of the 13th edition of the International Government Communication Forum, Al Wusta Channel from Al Dhaid will present its morning programme "Yawmiyat Al Wusta," which includes a variety of reports focusing on the forum's key activities. The programme will host a range of participants and experts in communication and media, as well as several officials, to highlight the various workshops, seminars, and activities.

Sharjah Radio’s plan for covering the 13th edition of the Government Communication Forum emphasises an in-depth exploration of the topics discussed in the forum’s new edition. This will be achieved through a special programme broadcast live from the forum site between 11 a.m. and noon, featuring a selection of guests and speakers. The programme will be presented by Hazaa Al Shehi and Sheikha Bin Khamis. Additionally, within the "Here is Sharjah" programme, broadcaster Ahmed Bukla will report live from the event, providing updates on the forum's latest developments. Sharjah Radio will also produce special segments about the event to be aired throughout the forum days.

To further strengthen its distinctive role in the forum and communicate its events to an English-speaking audience, "Pulse 95" Radio will provide ongoing coverage of the forum's activities from a studio at the heart of the event, airing the programme “Pulse 95 Live from IGCF 2024” from noon to 2 p.m. Hosts Rania Saadi and Loy Dinham will offer a comprehensive overview of the event by interviewing experts and participants who share their perspectives on various topics discussed at the forum.

The Digital Media Department of the Authority will conduct special coverage to showcase the most significant workshops and provide real-time updates on social media about the most important developments and events. The department will also present a visual display of key statistics related to the Authority's platforms over the past years, highlighting their reach and engagement on social media.

As part of its efforts to enhance communication skills among media students and government communication professionals, the Sharjah Media Training Centre, affiliated with the Authority, will organise two open training workshops for those interested in participating. The first workshop, scheduled for the first day of the forum, is titled "Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Media," and will be presented by Professors Rashid Al Naqbi and Jassem Al Awadhi. On the second day, another workshop will focus on "The Impact of Charisma in Media," led by Ahmed Bukla.

The Maraya platform will also participate in the International Government Communication Forum through the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority's booth at Expo Centre, offering attendees a unique opportunity to watch the latest films and series broadcasted by the platform on special devices. Visitors to the booth will enjoy a distinctive experience, where they can take instant photos and keep them as souvenirs from their visit to this prestigious international event.
