Sharjah24: In celebration of Emirati Women's Day and with the theme "Together for Tomorrow," a panel discussion was arranged at Sharjah's Muwailah Suburb Council by the Sharjah City Students' Parents Council, affiliated with the Sharjah Districts Affairs Department.
Community members, including Sharjah Police, headed by Colonel Abdulrahman Alkhayal, as well as department head Dr. Abdullah Al-Kabouri Al-Naqabi, Director of Districts Affairs Department and student council director Mr. Mana’a Al Darmaki were among those in attendance at the session.
Commenting on this in his opening remarks, Sheikh Abdulrahman Al Mualla, Chairman of the Sharjah Parents Council expressed his thankfulness for Emirati women, highlighting their long and dedicated service to the development of their cherished country.
He emphasised that Emirati women have made remarkable contributions and have been deeply involved in the country's progress, driven by the vision and wise leadership of the nation. This commitment aligns with the guidance of UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the exceptional support from Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, (Mother of the Nation) Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
He went on to say that Emirati women have been pioneers in many areas, including medicine, the arts, politics, the economics, and education.
Ms. Aisha Al Zarouni, Head of the Excellence and Institutional Development Committee at the Council, led three important sessions during the workshop that focused on empowering women.
As an additional participant, Dr. Abdullah Al Kabouri offered his congratulations to the Emirati ladies for everything they have accomplished with the support of the wise leadership. He spoke highly of the Emirati women who have made important contributions to national and international achievements.
Colonel Abdulrahman Al Khayal commended the valuable contributions of women in the police sector, emphasising their exceptional skills and remarkable achievements in both their work and leadership roles.
The session proceeded with discussions and acknowledgments of the contributions of women and their efforts in advancing development both within the country and globally.
