Mohammed Saleh Al Suwaiji, who is in charge of the Eastern Region Department at the Department of Culture, mentioned that the event is part of a series of regular poetry readings organised by the department. The goal is to encourage more people to enjoy and appreciate poetry and literature.
Al Suwaiji also mentioned that the Department of Culture organizes events and activities throughout the year in different cities in the Eastern Region. In the last part of the year, 41 different cultural and artistic programs will be held in various areas. This includes the upcoming Dibba Al Hisn Cultural Festival in October, followed by the Kalba Cultural Festival in November.
This year, the Director of the Eastern Department of Culture announced plans for 131 events in 2025. These events will include festivals, folklore events, puppet shows, poetry sessions, and more.
