Sharjah24: The Sharjah Women's Sports (SWS), in collaboration with the Sharjah Women's Sports Club (SWSC), officially inducted its new players into the teams for the 2024–2025 season at a welcoming ceremony.
The Sharjah Women's Olympic Sports Centre, located in the Al-Falah neighbourhood of the city, hosted the welcoming ceremony in its halls. Hanan Al Mahmoud, Vice President of the Sharjah Women's Sports Foundation, accompanied by Foundation Director Moza Al Shamsi and Deputy Director Mai Al Amri of the Sharjah Women's Sports Club, as well as other Foundation representatives and personnel from the club's technical and administrative departments, headed the welcoming committee.

During her introductory remarks, Hanan Al Mahmoud extended to the players the welcomes and well wishes of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Chairperson of SWS and wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah.

She said: "In line with Her Highness's directives and vision to unify the female athletes of the emirate under one umbrella for the governance of women's sports and to achieve unified standards of quality and services, and as part of the ongoing support for the sporting journey of Emirati women, with the aim of developing it and achieving global recognition, the Sharjah Women's Sports Club management officially welcomes you into the club."

Moza Al Shamsi, the Foundation's Director, also welcomed the players, emphasising that their presence will be a beneficial addition that will help women's sports in the Emirate of Sharjah grow and flourish. Along with a host of other approved developmental projects and initiatives, she described the foundation's developmental projects and their critical role in enhancing its operational framework. These projects and initiatives include the sports medicine and healthcare centre, the scientific lab for performance development, leadership training and preparation, and sports incubators.

As efforts come together to achieve the best possible results, Mai Al Amri, the club's deputy director, expressed the club's faith in the new players and hoped that their acquisition would result in excellent outcomes during their next sports journey.

After interesting introduction competitions that helped the players become acquainted with the background of their new team, they were given a tour of the center to see its cutting-edge sports facilities, which are some of the best in the nation and the region.
