Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) delegation visited several sports facilities in the friendly State of Qatar. They were informed about the management practices of these facilities and discussed the significance of sustainability and modern technology in sound, image, and monitoring systems. The visit also provided an opportunity for exchanging ideas and proposals between the two sides.
The Sharjah Sports Council delegation was updated on Qatar's experience with sports facilities as part of a mutual exchange of knowledge aimed at advancing sports development. This visit aligns with the Council’s commitment to engaging with sports bodies, institutions, and federations across the Gulf and internationally to enhance the progress of sports facilities in the emirate.
The SSC delegation included Nabil Mohammed Ashour, Director of the Support Services Department; Engineer Asmaa Ayoub Al Balushi, Head of the Sports Facilities Follow-up Department; Engineer Hamad Salem Al Bimani, Head of the Information Technology Department; Engineer Mona Obaid Al Shamsi, Head of the Design Department; and Engineer Khalifa Issa Al Suwaidi, Project Executive.
The tour encompassed a visit to the Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence, where the delegation explored its extensive sports facilities. They also visited Khalifa International Stadium, Lusail Stadium, Al Bayt Stadium, and Duhail Sports Hall. The delegation gained insights into the management practices of these facilities, emphasising the importance of sustainability and the integration of modern technology in sound, image, and monitoring systems. Additionally, there was a productive exchange of ideas and proposals between the two sides.
Nabil Ashour noted that the visit was highly productive, with the delegation receiving attentive support from officials in the friendly State of Qatar. The discussions covered various aspects of sports facilities, including the latest technologies and a strong interest in future sports collaboration. He highlighted that the Emirate of Sharjah places significant emphasis on advancing its sports facilities.
