Speaking exclusively to Sharjah 24, Al Hammadi added that the student competition is considered a tribute of appreciation that aims to honour and encourage the younger generation to engage in volunteer work and community service, as the honourees are selected based on the number of hours for the year 2023.
The Secretary General of SAVW praised the efforts of student volunteers, who harness their energies and skills to serve others and achieve social benefit, expressing his appreciation for their dedication and contributions to serving society, stressing that this award reflects Sharjah’s commitment to encouraging young people and appreciating their efforts in achieving positive social change.
Al Hammadi pointed out that SAVW enhances the value of volunteerism and positive contribution to society by young people, and works to instil the spirit of initiative and dedication to volunteer work among students and motivates them to continue providing social services. He appreciated the efforts of universities to provide opportunities for students to participate in volunteer work to make great contributions to society.
