Kholoud Al Nuaimi congratulated the participants of the "Kafaat" program on their practical field training during the summer of 2024. She emphasized that this ceremony serves as a token of appreciation for their dedication and for the departments that played a pivotal role in their training and professional and cognitive empowerment.
She stated that the programme offers students the chance to put theoretical knowledge into practice through field training programmes. These programs cover a wide range of university specializations, including administrative and financial sciences, physical therapy, social and human specializations, computer science, media, public relations, and others, totaling 108 students. Participants in the program typically complete between 40 and over 330 training hours, or the minimum number of training hours required by their universities to fulfill graduation criteria.
She articulated that the primary aims of the program are to equip students with professional cognitive skills and facilitate their application in practical contexts, enhance their theoretical expertise and knowledge, and empower them to comprehend and address the challenges encountered in fieldwork.
The programme also strives to instill in students a sense of professional ethics, which will be cultivated through practical experience in the field. This serves to bolster their capacities for consistency and precision in task completion.
The additional aims encompass the improvement of the student’s capacity to comprehend the requirements and attributes of the working environment, the intricacies of the workflow, and the ability to engage effectively with clients, the community, and colleagues.
The programme is designed to enhance students’ capacity to effectively address challenges and professional pressures within the work environment. It aims to advance individual educational competencies, facilitate the practical application of scientific and academic knowledge in work-related scenarios, refine advisory and analytical capabilities, and cultivate the aptitude for designing and executing impactful social programmes.
Upon concluding her address, she expressed gratitude to the different departments and their respective functional units for their collaboration and contributions towards enriching the educational experience of the university's student body across various academic tiers.
The event was graced by the presence of directors from affiliated homes, departments, and branches, who were duly recognised by the Department of Social Services.
A presentation was delivered during the event showcasing the honored students, who shared insights into their experiences with the programme and its beneficial impact on their academic and professional development.
