The play was created by the Department of Social Education as part of the department's initiative to present its programs in innovative ways that engage children and deliver information in an interesting manner suitable for their age. The department involved several school students and parents in the production of the play.
The play consists of three acting scenes that discuss the definition of Eid Al Adha, its significance, and how it differs from Eid Al Fitr. It also addresses Eid preparations, hospitality, rituals, family visits, gatherings with the elderly, giving and receiving "Eidiya" (money given as a gift during Eid), and congratulating the pilgrims, as well as other Islamic holiday-related matters.
Furthermore, the play emphasizes the importance of Eid Al Adha and the significance of customs and traditions within Emirati society.
The main characters in the play are the calm mother, the social and emotional Aunt Maryam, the family's beloved but spoiled Khaled, and the resourceful Dana, along with additional secondary characters.
