Sharjah24 : Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) is preparing to launch the seventh edition of the volunteer youth program called "Mubadiron" for girls and boys aged 13-17, from July 22nd to August 1st. The program aims to instill a culture of volunteer work among the youth by implementing various volunteer programs in collaboration with local community institutions at different locations.
The programme includes ethical values that refine the skills and behaviors of young people with the concepts of volunteer work.
Sandia Abdulrahman, the head of the volunteer department at the Department of Social Services, emphasized the importance of focusing on the value of volunteering and the need to instill it in the minds of young people. She pointed out that the selection of this age group was intentional, and therefore engaging in volunteer work will cultivate initiative within them to provide assistance without any material or moral return, affirming that it will also give them self-confidence, personal strength, and the ability to interact positively with members of society.
The head of the volunteer department at the Department of Social Services affirmed that the program starts with building skills in volunteer work values and effective communication including workshops on the volunteer work charter, volunteer experiences, volunteer team specialties, and various volunteer opportunities in fields such as social solidarity, disaster and crisis services, sports, and national service through organizing events and other areas.
