Sharjah24: During the activities of the Arab Parliament for the Child, being held in Sharjah, 65 children representing a diverse group of 16 Arab countries, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the oversight of Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, visited Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi Centre.
The Centre is home to a one-of-a-kind private and scientific collection of His Highness, meticulously curated over several years for the exclusive benefit of researchers.

During their visit, the parliament’s members were given the opportunity to delve into the significant historical materials, important documents, and manuscripts related to Arab history and the history of the Gulf. They also explored the collection of medals and souvenirs that His Highness received from various heads of state, international organisations, and universities, all housed in the premises.

In the personal collection hall at the centre, one can immerse themselves in a picture full of value and aesthetics. The works in the hall, reflecting the intellectual importance and high visual scenic value, belong to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi. Additionally, the hall showcases His Highness's academic certificates, medals, symbolic gifts, and shields received from various universities, international institutes, and global institutions.

The personal photo hall contains photos of His Highness’ official interviews with kings, rulers, and heads of state worldwide, as well as symbolic gifts presented by Arab and friendly countries, and local and international institutions.

They also assessed the most significant current collections, which are rare and highly regarded by scholars and stakeholders. These collections are being safeguarded by implementing a specialized system for the storage areas that maintains specific temperature and humidity levels.

After the visit, Ayman Othman Al Barout, the Secretary-General of the APC, emphasized the significance of such activities in deepening cultural and historical awareness among Arab children. He commended His Highness’ backing for educational and cultural endeavors that help bolster Arab identity and belonging among the new generations. He pointed out that this visit, which left a strong impression on the Arab children, underscored the Parliament's dedication to fulfilling its objectives aligned with the League of Arab States, to promote mutual understanding and cultural harmony among the people of the region. It also highlighted Sharjah's role as a leading cultural and educational hub in the Arab region.
