Sharjah 24: The General Secretariat of the Arab Parliament for the Child (APC), in cooperation with its partners, continues to receive delegations of children from the Arab world, including members of Parliament. Children’s work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, in the city of Sharjah.
The 64 Parliament’s children from different Arab countries, representing 16 Arab countries, participate in a week-long programme that includes various educational and interactive experiences in cooperation with the Parliament’s partners from government institutions.

The activities will begin with an enriching visit to Sharjah Youth, affiliated with the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, on Tuesday morning at Sharjah Youth headquarters in the city of Sharjah, where they will participate in six workshops that include animation, photography, writing short stories, and making models using the Ebroa technique, in addition to architectural machinery and home maintenance workshop.

In this context, the Secretary-General of APC, Ayman Othman Al Barout, expressed his happiness at the United Arab Emirates’ reception of delegations of children from the Arab world to begin parliamentary activities in Sharjah, pointing out the importance of such events in enhancing children’s capabilities and developing their skills, and opening the way to discuss their issues and opinions in different creative and interactive ways.

Al Barout explained that programmees and events presented by the Parliament within the framework of the work of the fourth meetinf of the third session and under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of His Excellency Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General, will continue during the current week, with the aim of enhancing the role of children as active members in the Arab community and promoting the values of cooperation among them, as well as organising several visits that coincide with the visions and goals of Parliament.

Al Barout stressed the importance of such events in promoting cultural and educational exchange between Arab children, and opening the way for them to express their opinions and ideas freely and effectively.
