Sharjah TV Unveils Exciting Summer Programme Lineup

Sharjah24 : Sharjah TV, part of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, has prepared a diverse array of exciting programmes for its viewers this summer. These include various entertaining and educational shows that aim to introduce the cultural and historical identity of the UAE, in line with the enlightening mission the television station is committed to.
The programmes offered cater to the interests of all demographic and social groups, bridging the past and the present and reaffirming Sharjah TV's leading position among channels dedicated to purposeful media.

The lineup includes shows such as "Sharjah Minarets," "Sharjah Summer," and "Houses of Sharjah and its Surrounding Villages and Inhabitants." These programmes have been overseen by national teams who have demonstrated exceptional competence and showcased their original creative talents in the media industry.

Aida Butti, Director of Programs at Sharjah TV, emphasised that the programming schedule aligns with Sharjah TV's goals and helps connect viewers with their local heritage by opening windows to aspects of life in the emirate, both past and present.

The programme "Sharjah Minarets" sheds light on the history and distinctive architectural styles of Sharjah’s ancient mosques. It airs every Friday at 12:45 PM. Butti highlighted that the programme aims to showcase the architectural beauty of Sharjah's mosques by taking viewers on a journey through time. She noted that the programme is not a documentary in the traditional sense but presents its topics in an engaging manner to attract viewers, pique their curiosity, and enrich their knowledge.

"Sharjah Summer" is a fast-paced entertainment programme and one of the highlights of the summer schedule. It airs daily at 5:30 PM and aims to spotlight the various summer recreational and cultural activities happening in Sharjah during this time of year. The programme is prepared by Anwar Fakhri, Manal Al Baloushi, and Nawaf Al Marshadi, and presented by Ismail Al Shaibani and Shamaa Al Mazmi, with Raed Al Dalati as the director.

The programme "Houses of Sharjah," directed by Meera Al Mulla and prepared by Iman Al Jabri, highlights the historic areas of the city, such as "Al Shuwaiheen," "Al Mareija," "Freej Al Shuyoukh," "Freej Al Ali," "Al Sharq," "Al Layyah," and "Al Khan." It aims to explain the architectural beauty of these areas and the features of life in them from past to present. Additionally, it covers nearby facilities such as mosques, old markets, and shops. The programme includes interviews with residents of these areas, especially the elderly, to recount their memories in engaging and attractive stories. The show is scheduled to air every Saturday at 11:35 PM.
