Khawla Al Hajj, the Chairperson of the Friends of Diabetes Association, emphasized that the Prevention and Coexistence campaign is one of the society's most prominent annual events. It aims to raise public awareness about diabetes, its causes, symptoms, and ways to curb its spread. The campaign also aims to facilitate the coexistence of patients with their community and provide necessary support, especially for children and teenagers living with diabetes.
She pointed out that this year, the FOD has ensured that the campaign's activities and programs cover all types of diseases caused by diabetes. The goal is to promote the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle, provide individuals with methods and means to manage their blood sugar levels, and encourage healthy coexistence through proper nutrition and physical exercise. She expressed gratitude for the efforts of all parties, sponsors, and supporters of the campaign and the FDA's programs, which contribute to supporting diabetes patients.
The campaign is organized in collaboration with several entities, including the Ministry of Health , Sharjah International Airport, Al Batayeh Municipality, Khan Council and Rahmaniyah (Rahmaniyah Mall), Zahia City Center, Megamall, and Sharjah Cooperative Society. It also receives support from various sponsors, including the official sponsor of the campaign, Fast Contracting Company.
