The programme included a 2D animation course (Level 1), led by trainer Sahar Abdullah, targeting participants aged 12 and above. Participants learned the fundamentals and techniques of 2D animation and the stages of producing creative works, contributing to the development of their artistic and innovative skills in this field. The program is scheduled to continue with Level 2 in July, which will focus on advanced training and the production of a short animated film.
FANN also organised a photography course (Level 2), led by trainer Ahmed Al Raisi, targeting FANN Foundation members and members of the Sajaya Youth Centres, aged 13 to 18. The programme focused on developing photography skills by delving into camera settings, learning about different types of lenses and their effects, and training participants on using Lightroom software to edit and enhance photos, transforming them into professional-looking work.
FANN, in collaboration with Sharjah Children's Centres in Al Heera, Al Khalidiyah, and Halwan, concluded its photography programme (Level 1), led by instructor Noha Hamza Al Hassan. The programme targeted children aged 6 to 12. Participants learned the fundamentals of using Nikon cameras and shooting in automatic mode. They also engaged in various practical applications, including portrait, motion, and close-up photography, as well as the basics of video shooting and conducting video interviews, which contributed to enhancing their visual and creative skills.
In keeping with modern technological advancements, the Foundation organised a workshop titled "Design Your Fantasy City with Artificial Intelligence," led by instructor Aisha Bint Khalifa. This workshop was offered to the children of employees of its platinum partner, Crescent Enterprises. The workshop allowed participants to explore the potential of artificial intelligence tools in transforming ideas into innovative designs. Children unleashed their imaginations and designed their own imaginary cities using the ChatGPT platform and AI tools, enhancing their creative thinking and digital design skills.
As part of its community outreach, the foundation presented a "Fundamentals of Photography" workshop for employees of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority, led by trainer Jamila Al Awadhi. The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the fundamental concepts of photography and professional image-taking skills, supporting documentation and corporate communication.
Programmes and workshops are part of FANN's vision to provide an educational and creative environment that keeps pace with the rapid developments in media and technology. They offer children and young people practical opportunities to discover their talents and develop their abilities through direct learning and application.
Huda Al Harmoudi, Deputy Director General of FANN, emphasised that the foundation continues its efforts to empower children and young people to acquire advanced creative and media skills through specialised programmes and workshops that meet future demands. These initiatives contribute to honing emerging talents and fostering a culture of innovation and creativity among the new generations. She added that the Fun Foundation is keen to provide a stimulating educational environment that combines knowledge and practical application, and opens new horizons for participants to explore their abilities and develop their skills in various creative and media fields, in line with the Foundation’s vision of preparing a generation capable of creativity, producing meaningful content, and actively contributing to building a knowledge society.
