Islamic Affairs promotes positive values among students

Sharjah 24: Coinciding with the school vacation, the Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah organises its summer educational programme for boys and girls, out of the department’s belief in the importance of using and investing in time in developing students’ skills to benefit them, instilling and consolidating positive morals and values, and nurturing their love to reading.Sharjah 24: Coinciding with the school vacation, the Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah organises its summer educational programme for boys and girls, out of the department’s belief in the importance of using and investing in time in developing students’ skills to benefit them, instilling and consolidating positive morals and values, and nurturing their love to reading.
The summer programme, includes more than 660 students, and comes as part of the general department’s strategy and tireless endeavour to raise religious awareness, by organising legal courses and workshops directed to all segments of society in its diverse communities, with the aim of promoting Islamic values in society and consolidating the principles of Islam.

The summer programme includes the summer student course for boys in Sharia sciences and arts, organised by the department under the slogan “With knowledge and morals we rise”, in 6 mosques distributed in the suburbs and cities of the emirate, during the period from July 8 to July 25, and a group of preachers and orators from the department will lecture.

The course, which targets the age group from 8 to 18 years, includes an explanation of some selected hadiths in the jurisprudence of purity and prayer, and some of the effects mentioned in the biography of the Prophet, and the virtue of knowledge, and the principles of morals and Islamic values. The course is also accompanied by a number of recreational activities to provide them with the keys to reading.
The summer programme also includes the educational course for girls, which was organised by the department under the slogan “Teach me my religion” in the cities of Sharjah, Khorfakkan, Kalba, and Dibba Al Hisn, during the period from June 24 to July 4, targeting the age group from 8 to 14 years old, with the aim of providing them with the necessary skills for self-improvement, directing them in how to plan optimal time management.

The educational course includes a number of lessons, interactive workshops, brainstorming sessions, and competitions that contribute to promoting and consolidating positive behaviours, moral values, and Islamic etiquette among girls.
