Sharjah24: The Sharjah Islamic Affairs Department has opened the "Tasnim" Mosque in Al Mawrda 1 area of Al Siyouh suburb, accommodating 350 worshippers, including men and women. This inauguration is part of the 2024 annual plan, in line with urban growth and the needs of local residents, providing a convenient place for religious practices.
His Excellency Abdullah Khalifa Yaroof Al Sabousi, Head of the Islamic Affairs Department attended the ceremony, alongside the mosque's donor, members of the mosque inauguration committee, and local residents. After performing the Dhuhr prayer, attendees toured the mosque's facilities and were briefed on the construction details.

The mosque features a blend of Islamic and modern architecture, with a central square dome and a 25-meter-high minaret. Covering a total area of 5,996 square meters, it includes space for 350 worshippers (with 50 spaces for women), service facilities, ablution areas, restrooms, the imam's residence, and parking.

Built to World Federation of Disabled standards, the mosque’s entrance threshold is no more than 30 cm above the ground. It includes at least four parking spaces, ramps for men's and women's prayer areas, and specially designed entrances and ablution areas to facilitate access for people with disabilities. This reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, aiming to provide the best services and ensure inclusivity.

Al-Sabousi emphasised that the opening of the "Tasnim" Mosque aligns with ongoing efforts to keep pace with Sharjah's development plan and fulfill the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The department is dedicated to continuous coordination with relevant authorities to assess mosque needs in various areas based on population density and urban development.
