Sharjah24: On Tuesday evening, at the club's headquarters in the Samnan area, Khaled Issa Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sharjah Sports Club, presided over the second council meeting.
At the start of the meeting, Al Midfa praised His Highness's great assistance. Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah; Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; and Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, following the formation of the new board of directors. He stated that the council is committed to ensuring that Sharjah-named sports teams participate on championship platforms.

Al Midfa wishes the club departments continued success and excellent outcomes in a variety of sports.

During the meeting, the council reviewed various agenda topics, including department establishment, club organisational structure, and financial problems.

Khaled Issa Al Midfa will oversee the Sharjah Football Company, one of the club departments that the board approved.

The council also approved the establishment of Mohammed Obaid Al Hassani's Team Sports Department and Mohammed Ali Al Hamadi's Legal Affairs Department.

Furthermore, the council approved the creation of the Strategy and Leadership Department, headed by Tariq Jasim Al Midfa, and the Sharjah Investment and Commercial Development Company, led by Ibrahim Mohammed Al Jarwan.

The council also decided to establish Mohammed Abdullah Bourhaima as the head of the Corporate Communications Department.

During the meeting, the council considered the club's financial position and forecasts for revenue submitted by departments for the upcoming season, as well as the planned club's organisational structure in accordance with Sharjah Sports Council's recently announced "Governance" programme.
