Sharjah24: Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanities (MBZUH) has further solidified its scientific and academic collaboration with Al Qasimia University (AQU) in Sharjah through the signing of a memorandum of understanding at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The university's recent agreement coincides with its vision to broaden its network of strategic partners in the areas of humanities, Islamic studies, social sciences, and philosophy.
The goal is to further develop initiatives that promote a civilised presentation of Islam and Arab culture. The university's approach emphasises the importance of fostering tolerance, love, and respect for human rights, while also upholding the values of temperance and moderation.

The memorandum was signed yesterday morning by Dr Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri, Chancellor of Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities., and Professor Dr. Awad Al-Khalaf, Director of Al Qasimia University.

The terms of the memorandum of understanding include the completion of studies and research, the sharing of experiences and skills in the areas in which each party operates, and the publishing of the results in each other's journals and releases. It also involves making use of the databases and learning materials that are accessible to both parties and working towards the development of a single index of scholarly and scientific sources that will facilitate simple access and use by both. 

In addition, the memorandum of understanding involves the sharing of publications, books, periodicals, and research materials in multiple languages. The focus is on fostering collaboration in logistics, human resources, and technology, making use of various spaces such as halls, libraries, technical centres, and facilities to facilitate activities and events. The agreement also promotes the development of collaborative cultural and scientific efforts, community service initiatives, and the introduction of awareness and media campaigns that strengthen national identity and foster a sense of pride. 

Employees from both institutions have the opportunity to engage in practical training at the other party. Additionally, students at Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanities can benefit from professional training and summer job opportunities. In addition, it encompasses any other areas of collaboration that the parties may mutually agree upon.

Dr Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri has confirmed that the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Al Qasimia University, reflects the commitment of Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanities to fostering scientific partnerships. He emphasised the importance of partnerships with local academic institutions, highlighting the value of exchanging expertise and collaboration of roles to serve the nation in various fields. 

He also expressed their commitment to achieving the practical and academic goals outlined in the memorandum of understanding. They emphasised that this collaboration with Al Qasimia University is a significant step towards future strategic cooperation.

Professor Dr. Awad Al-Khalaf emphasised the significance of the memorandum of understanding with Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanities, highlighting its role in promoting the exchange of knowledge and skills between the two universities. He has further highlighted the important role of collaboration among educational institutions in order to accomplish sustainable development goals.

He stressed the dedication of Al Qasimia University to strengthening academic collaboration with prestigious educational institutions, such as Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanities, in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and founder of Al Qasimia University. The objective is also to foster collaboration and facilitate the exchange of scientific and intellectual knowledge among universities in the UAE, supporting the universities' missions and objectives in spreading the teachings of Islam, emphasising moderation, tolerance, and embracing diverse global cultures and communities.
