Sharjah24: Al Qasimia University and Sharjah Charity International have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation in building the capabilities of national cadres, exchanging experiences to support societal goals for sustainable development, and implementing joint charitable projects to support programs for teaching the Arabic language and Holy Qur’anic sciences in Africa.
The memorandum of understanding was signed yesterday morning at the university's headquarters in Sharjah. Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the SCI, and Professor Jamal Al Tarifi, President of Al Qasimia University, signed the document in the presence of officials from both sides.

Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, while attending the signing of the memorandum of understanding, stated that this agreement is a continuation of the collaborative efforts between the association and the university, further strengthening their partnership. This reflects the ongoing support for the university and its students since its establishment. The new partnership aims to expand cooperation by launching educational projects in West African countries, in support of the UAE's humanitarian initiatives to promote the Arabic language and the sciences of the Holy Qur’an among children and citizens of those countries.

He confirmed that the implementation of the first joint project between the two sides has been completed, which is a center for memorizing the Holy Qur’an in the Republic of Ghana, which consists of 8 major classes, likewise, many educational projects will be implemented in the countries included in the association’s aid programs, and there is no doubt that the university has a prominent role in providing cadres of teachers who will bear the heavy burden of teaching the curricula to the students affiliated with these centers, pointing out that the association, through its humanitarian and charitable journey that extends for more than 35 years, has been keen to implement many projects aimed at supporting students of science, whether through construction projects or through direct support to students, such as programs to sponsor science students, in implementation of the correct approach that His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, directed, stressing the importance of education in supporting and enabling people to rely on themselves, hoping that this partnership will bear fruit and achieve the goals that we all hope for.

Jamal Al Tarifi, the President of Al Qasimia University, emphasized the importance of signing a memorandum of understanding with the Sharjah Charitable Society. This is to strengthen strategic cooperation and partnership in various fields, in line with Al Qasimia University's commitment to realizing the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and Founder of the University. The collaboration aims to integrate the efforts of national institutions and improve the educational process. Additionally, they will cooperate in establishing Al Qasimia University schools for memorizing the Holy Qur’an, as part of honoring His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. These efforts align with the university's global mission to prioritize the Holy Qur’an and teach the Arabic language to non-native speakers.

Al Tarifi stated that the memorandum of understanding with Sharjah Charity aims to facilitate the exchange of professional experiences in training and scientific research. It also seeks to organize scientific conferences and forums to discuss the latest developments and best practices in charitable and humanitarian work. Additionally, the agreement aims to promote the culture of charitable and volunteer work among Al Qasimia University students, who represent over 123 nationalities from various countries around the world.
