One of the higher education institutions in the Emirate of Sharjah, Kalba University was established under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi. It comprises five colleges offering nine academic programmes across the College of Sports Sciences, the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, the College of Computing and Intelligent Systems, the College of Law, and the College of Business Administration.
The university offers a range of specialised academic programmes, including a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Sports Science. It has also recently secured academic accreditation for its Bachelor of Science in Sports Nutrition and Health and Wellbeing, which will be introduced as part of the college’s future offerings.
Kalba University also has a strategic academic partnership with Australia's Monash University, enabling students to benefit from international academic expertise while expanding opportunities for research collaboration and academic exchange.
For admission to most programmes, applicants must have achieved a minimum score of 70% in their secondary school certificate. A minimum of 85% is required for some specialisations for students seeking a scholarship.
