Dr Nadhir Ahmed Faisal Al Rawashdeh, Director of the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at the University of Al Dhaid, welcomed prospective students and said the institution is fully prepared to provide a high-quality academic experience that combines rigorous scholarship with practical, hands-on learning.
The university's academic environment equips students with the knowledge, skills, and professional experience needed for an evolving job market, leveraging international partnerships and modern teaching methods.
Speaking to "Sharjah 24", Dr Al Rawashdeh said the university will offer a Bachelor of Science in geology in partnership with the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom. The programme forms part of a growing portfolio of internationally orientated degrees developed in collaboration with leading global institutions.
Among the programmes available for the coming academic year is a bachelor's degree in sustainable agriculture, delivered in partnership with the Royal Agricultural University, alongside a veterinary medicine programme offered in collaboration with the University of Liverpool.
The university also offers undergraduate degrees in business administration, law, computer science, sociology, history and Islamic civilisation, public relations, and digital media communication and design. These programmes complement the university’s wider mission of preparing graduates for future industries while supporting national and regional development priorities.
Established in 2024 by the decree of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the University of Al Dhaid has rapidly expanded its academic offerings, with a particular focus on agriculture, veterinary medicine, environmental sciences, and other disciplines linked to sustainable development.
