Dr Matthias Ruth, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Provost at AUS, stated that it is an exciting day, having 842 students graduating from various majors after they underwent rigorous education, overcame numerous obstacles, and now ready to enter the job market.
The atmosphere in the room is filled with joy and excitement after years of sweat and blood, eagerly looking forward to their next step in life.
With the latest QS Rankings results, AUS tops the region’s universities. Dr Ruth believes that the university has put effort into preparing its graduates, arming them with the necessary knowledge required for the job market, as the QS tends to get feedback from employers about the quality of AUS’s graduates' education and how they effectively apply it in their professional lives.
During his remarks to “Sharjah 24”, Dr Ruth added that AUS students gain benefits from a liberal arts education, which sets them up to be team players, develop critical thinking, helps in time management, and guides them in shaping technologies and practices.
