Sheikhs performing the prayer included, Sheikh Khaled bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman for Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority; Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, the chairman of the Ruler's Office; Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Statistics and Community Development; Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Districts Affairs Department; Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of the Sharjah Digital Department; Sheikh Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Director of Sharjah General Authority of Islamic Affairs & Endowments; several other sheikhs; Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Ministry of Health and Prevention; Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Consultative Council; and other heads of departments and senior officials in local and federal agencies.
Dr. Salem Al Doubi, who serves as the Head of the Preaching Section at the Sharjah Islamic Affairs Department, delivered the Eid sermon. During his address, he highlighted the significance of religious rituals and the joy that comes with the celebration of Eid Al-Fitr after Ramadan. Dr. Salem also emphasized the importance of maintaining strong family ties, respecting parents, and staying connected with friends and neighbors.
The preacher urged the people to always adhere to worship and teach their children about it. He also stressed the importance of taking advantage of prayer lessons and other religious occasions.
Dr. Salem also underscored the value of knowledge, which is highly regarded in Islam. According to him, knowledge is the key to the success of nations and enables individuals to learn about worship. Additionally, he spoke about the importance of compassion, solidarity, and cooperation among people in society, as well as between them and their wise leadership. He believes that these values bring righteousness, goodness, and blessings to society, the country, and the people.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Salem offered a prayer to Allah, asking for the protection of the UAE and its people and for the rulers to achieve success in their endeavors for the betterment of society.
