Sharjah 24: Sharjah Children, a subsidiary of the Rubu' Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, is gearing up to attract participants for its Professional Swimming Pool project, set to launch in early July. Targeting children aged 6-12, both boys and girls, the project will be held at three centres: Al Qarayen Children's Centre, Al Heera Children's Centre, and Halwan Children's Centre.
Sharjah Children emphasised that the project aims to achieve the goals of "care, impact, and sustainability," aiming to create an attractive and engaging environment for children. Swimming adds a new dimension to their skills, essential especially during the summer months, boosting their self-confidence and instilling discipline and a healthy lifestyle for their future.

Under the supervision of the Sharjah Women's Sports Foundation and a group of specialised trainers, children will participate in tailored training workshops suitable for their age groups and swimming abilities, ensuring natural progress and allowing each participant to discover their suitable skill level. The training programme consists of eight levels, progressing from basic to advanced, with all trainees required to attend three weekly sessions, each lasting 45 minutes.

Khawla Al Hawai, Director of Sharjah Children, stated that the project seeks to create a nurturing environment for children that matches their interests and aspirations, elevating their presentation and envisioning their future roles. It is a comprehensive national developmental project aimed at enhancing the emirate's readiness and its workforce.

She clarified that the essence of the project lies in investing in children, providing them with adequate skills to effectively contribute to priority achievements through continuous learning and acquiring new skills within the framework of the Professional Swimming Pool, consistent with Rubu Qarn's other programmes as a community partner in building and empowering aware and influential generations.

Notably, the project aims to develop the skills of participants in swimming, forming teams for talented children to participate in local and international championships, discovering talents to enrich Rubu Qarn institutions with professional talents and contribute to the development of swimming sports in Sharjah. This will represent the emirate locally and internationally in sports competitions and forums.
