Al Furjan Theatre launches Furjan Sharjah

Sharjah 24: The Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, through Rubu’ Qarn for Theatre and Performing Arts, announced the launch of “Al Furjan Theatre 2024” project in its fourth edition, under the slogan “A Family that Loves Theatre.” Through the project, the Foundation seeks to deepen social ties and spread the culture of theatre to all segments of society.
Al Furjan Theatre is an integrated community theatrical project that works to interact with the residents of Al Furjan (different neighborhoods) in the Emirate of Sharjah through specialised workshops that are presented to uncover theatrical talents and direct them in a positive direction.

Al Furjan Theatre Project will culminate in theatrical performances that include all age groups that wish to join the project, through which it seeks to attract new members to the Rubu’ Qarn institutions and to activate the role of these institutions in working with the local community.

Performing arts expert Dr. Adnan Salloum stressed the importance of this project, which seeks to open the way for collective artistic expression as a tool for communication and social cohesion. This interactive project with the local community in the Emirate of Sharjah comes as an important part of our work Rubu’ Qarn for Theatre and Performing Arts to provide the opportunity for rapprochement between different age groups of people through theatre.

Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators invites talented people and theatre lovers to register for this unique project, from now until August 30, 2024 on the websites of Rubu’ Qarn Foundation institutions, Sharjah Children, Sharjah Youth, Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, and Sharjah Capability Development (Tatweer). The project includes prizes to motivate participants to further innovate and create. Prizes include a gold prize for the first best theatrical show, a silver prize for the second best theatrical show, a bronze prize for the third best theatrical show, in addition to an award for the best (20) talents from the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation employees. The prizes also include the best cooperative team, the best trainer, the best cooperative family, the best cooperative centre and the best cooperative management from the institutions of Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators.

Al Furjan Theatre 2024 project is characterised by comprehensive training programmes to embody the vision of Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators building conscious and influential generations by developing the skills, talents and capabilities of the members, qualifying them and providing them with everything that makes them creative by investing their energies in an Emirati creative and innovative environment. 
 
Rubu’ Qarn for Theatre and Performing Arts is one of the specialised centres affiliated with the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for creating leaders and innovators. It is an innovative training project that targets all members of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation in different age groups (6-31) years. It aims to integrate these groups into a project that includes programmes, workshops, and competitions at sequential levels of knowledge. The project. The project also contributes to training participants in the power of observation, constructive criticism, and developing sensory appreciation, in addition to strengthening the classical Arabic language in pronunciation and grammar. Among the main axes that the project focuses on are training participants to be patient and willful, to respect others, and to encourage them to understand the current social issues.
