Sharjah Children strengthens society values

Sharjah 24: "Sharjah Children", affiliated with the "Rubu Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators", in its different centres, organised a meeting with its members and their parents. The meeting was organised within the Foudation’s framework to enhance society values in the hearts of children; highlight skills and talents they possess; contribute to refining and developing them in a systematic and sustainable manner; helpi n finding their own hobbies; strengthen their national identity; and open new horizons in various fields, such as sports, arts, music, theatre, science, technology, writing, languages, etc.
The meeting focused on introducing the members and their parents to the centres’ activities and programmes, building a sustainable relationship between the centres and parents; establishing a bridge of communication; as well as listening to their opinions, impressions and suggestions.

The events that were held in its centres across the Emirate of Sharjah included a series of diverse and interactive activities that received great interaction from the public, including a segment on “where do you see yourself in the future”, and some competitions. Proposals were also listened to about the programmes and activities that they wanted to experience, such as photography and games, music, karate, crochet, making balloon games, etc.

The members expressed their happiness at belonging to Sharjah Children, where they found all the entertainment and educational activities they wanted that helped them discover their talents and hone their abilities, while the parents spoke about their desire to continue some programmes and activities, and presented their suggestions and discussed the inputs and outputs of the workshops they preferred for their children.

At the conclusion of the meeting, they renewed their thanks to Sharjah Children for housing their children, and considered it a safe haven and the values and concepts that contribute to their formation and shaping their orientations. They added that the institution had positively changed their children’s personalities, including their thinking, which reassured them and nade them more confident in the success of their careers.

Khawla Al Hawai, Director of Sharjah Children, confirmed that the meeting aims to build a bridge between the children of Sharjah, their parents, and their affiliates, through the combined efforts of all community institutions to provide a safe environment in which children grow and invest their energies. She added that Sharjah Foundation is a nurturing environment for children, guarantees them all their basic rights, and provides them with quality programmes and pioneering initiatives that meet their needs and aspirations, through its 15 centres throughout all cities and regions of the emirate.
